Using なにか / だれか and なにも / だれも

These words help you speak more naturally when the person or thing is unknown or when nothing / nobody applies.

  1. だれか きましたか。 / なにか たべましたか。Did someone come? / Did you eat something?
  2. だれも きませんでした。 / なにも たべませんでした。Nobody came. / I ate nothing.
