Using とか and など to give examples instead of a full list

Use these when you want to mention some examples without sounding like the list is complete.

Read and notice

  1. しゅうまつ は えいが とか スポーツ を します。On weekends I do things like watch movies and play sport.
  2. にほん では すし や ラーメン など が にんき です。In Japan things such as sushi and ramen are popular.
